Tuesday 3rd June

Well here we are at the beginning of winter and the sunny days continue although there was some fog this morning.

Today was our monthly workshop with Wilga. She is our founding member and teaches us lovely techniques and tricks every month on the first Tuesday.

This time it was Hanky Panky Crazy Quilting based on Cindy Brick’s book of the same name. We shall be cutting up our old and new hankies to make lovely quilts of a vintage nature. I can’t wait to start mine. Wilga of course had some very old and beautifully edged examples of hanky art that I would be to afraid to cut. She is making the quilts to honour her great grandmothers and grandmothers. The quilts are not large being about 18 inches square plus borders.

We will have a display of the finished quilts at our exhibition in July.
