Christine Philp

Today I am featuring Chris Philp one of our gifted members and our librarian. Chris gave us a lovely workshop today on beading to embellish. She is a very experienced stump work embroider and it was a treat to learn some easy ways to use beads in our pieces of art.

Chris is a perfectionist who prefers to unpick and redo than just saying ‘that will do’ as some of us can myself included. Last year Chris did Sue Spargo’s Bird Dance quilt BOM and it was a perfect project for her with such great needlework skills. She also loves needle turn applique and is dabbling in some art quilting with her friends. Generous to a fault Chris is happy to share her skills with members. Thank you Chris for an interesting workshop.

Below are a few of Chris’ quilts.
