Tuesday 16th December

This will be our last post for 2014. We shared our final day of stitching together and enjoyed a delicious morning tea. Many gifts were exchanged and Merry Christmas wishes rang out!

It was also a special day for Alison who set our Christmas Challenge – a baby quilt for a stillborn. Maureen Cunningham, who is organising ‘Blankets of Love’ for her Lions Club project, came to receive the quilts we made for the challenge. She was most complimentary about the colours, motifs and beautiful handwork that had gone into these little quilts. Alison was proud to announce that we had 43 quilts to donate. Well done everybody.

We also had a sneek peek at the raffle quilt for next year. It has an Asian flavour and will also have lots of hexagons on it!!!!

So I would like to sign off with my very best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to follow. Elizabeth Buzzell President MP&Q
