Tuesday 31st March

Well what a lovely day we had at stitching. A German friend, Fritzy, came and showed us pictures of her paper pieced quilt. 17900 hexagons in all – we are all in awe!!! She also chatted about so many things patchwork that the time just flew. Thankyou for your visit. We also had a potential new member in Helen who has been looking for a group to join and saw about us in the freebee weekend papers.

The raffle quilt is finished and looks amazing. See full photo on our Home Page and how to buy tickets. Marcia and Fay and the other girls have done a great job. We love the quilt bag that Fay made too. The quilting was done by Rainbow Patchwork in Lismore.

Next week we are working on a friendship quilt so bring along your finished blocks and your sewing machines.

Two more signature blocks have arrived. One from our beloved Betty and the other cute one from Mary. See them on the Signature Blocks page. Helen and Penne both had show and tell items for us.

Some of us went down to Ferry park to view the “Crossing the Clarence” 8 x 8 Challenge. There were a number of entries by the quilters and it is a great exhibition of talent. Well done everyone.
