Tuesday 7th April

What a busy day the girls had today. We all brought in blocks for a friendship quilt and the work began. Some were trimming, some were joining, some were making bias strips, some were making binding and some were ironing. Great teamwork and the quilt came together beautifully.

Our new member, Helen, showed us her Lucy Boston blocks. They are fussy cut and English pieced using an elongated hexagon shape. This quilt is truly a labour of love.

Penne showed us her four art quilts from last year now made into a standing folding book. Such an interesting way to display her lovely work.
