A lovely day of patching and stitching together. A cool morning turned into a nice sunny afternoon to lift our spirits.
Claudette, our president, has a very bad back and we appreciate the effort she made to be with us. We all wish you the very best outcome as you move forward with treatment Claudette.
We had a display of poppy applique items which ranged from a table runner, placemats, mug rugs, oven mits and decorator items. Great work girls they looked very colourful and were a fitting tribute to the ANZAC memorial weekend just passed.
The “Retreaters” had a meeting to clarify a few things and get organised with group projects. Two quilts are in the pipeline and we all have our own projects too.
A reminder about our Member’s Only Challenge for the Exhibition. The title is ‘Fifty’ and the size 50cm x 50cm. Any format is acceptable such as a wall hanging, a table centre or even a decorator piece. Entry is free and they are due on June 30th.
Don’t forget our Open Day on June 2nd.
