Tuesday 20th October

A nice turnout today and everyone busy with interesting projects. Malcolm King came to talk about an art quilt project featuring the Clarence River. It sounds like an interesting idea.

Helen G. had a pile of her Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses blocks for us to marvel over. These are done in reproduction fabrics and are cleverly fussy cut. She has fifty-six to make and is about to start her last ten.

Marcia Hunter has finished her placemat project with the help of some friends. These placemats are for the Meals on Wheels recipients as a Christmas gift. I’m sure they will love these bright and pretty mats. What a wonderful project Marcia, you have done a terrific job.

Dianne Lyons had a very smart quilt to show and tell. It is for a family member who works in forestry. He will just love the forest colours of greens and browns Dianne has so nicely coordinated. Great job Dianne.

There will be a new page soon to cater for all the members doing English Paper Piecing. See more of Helen’s blocks and Janet’s work as well as others when I have it up and running.
