Tuesday 10th November

A great turn out today and we had lots to learn and look at.

Helen Granleese held a mini workshop on hand quilting. This was very interesting and I’m sure some of us will give it a try. See her tips on the workshop page. Thank you Helen.

It was also Art Quilt day, the last for 2015. Elizabeth and Colleen brought in their Thread Painting Grass Trees done in a workshop at Dorrigo Retreat with Helen Rhodes. They both enjoyed her teaching and have done a good job on their wall hangings. The art quilts were very lovely and diverse. Ursula had ‘Hexagons’, Elizabeth’Green’, Penne “A Phoenix”, Colleen “Collage”, Helen “Leaves’ and Wilga ‘Memories’. See the pictures on the Art Quilts page.We had a brief chat to discuss what we may do next year and threw a few ideas around. Basically we will have four art quilts, our own themes and a Challenge Box to add some intrigue. See you next year girls!!!

Next week we are doing a ‘Boro’ Workshop with Jane McDonald which should be great fun.

This is one of the knitted chickens Robyn was making last week. It lays an egg if you squeeze it.
