Tuesday 2nd February

Today was very hot but our hall was reasonably cool and we all managed to get some stitching done.

The main push today was getting on with the raffle quilt. There were squares and circles everywhere in light, medium and dark. I’m sure the girls will be glad when the cutting process is finished and the stitching begun.

Still a lot of English Paper Piecing being done and next week we start Christine Book’s “Row By Row” quilt with Helen Granleese. Those participating have been collecting fabric and are keen to start.

Helen McNamara is making a table runner for her daughter Lizzy and there are pictures for her to check the colours and design. The blog can be used in lots of ways and that is what it’s for – to keep in touch and show off our work and tell what we are doing.

The February newsletter can be downloaded from our Newsletter page or picked up from the sign on counter. Also see our extensive diary for important dates and workshops.

Maxine's-colouring-art-work

Maxine has finished this lovely fabric colouring. The effect was enhanced by using painted tone on tone white background fabric. The painted finish acted as a resist.
