What a crowd today with thirty members present for a special morning tea. Not only was there a birthday cake for February girls, Ursula and Kay, but also a farewell to long time member Wendy Laverty. Wendy has sold her house and is moving south to be close to her family. We wish her well and hope she finds another quilting group to share with.
Helen G. showed us how to finish our first row of EPP, the Lucy Boston fussy cut crosses. It is lovely to see all the different fussy cuts and such enthusiasm. We have the templates and papers for a hexagon row to be going on with.
The raffle quilt is almost together and there was a lot of mix and match going on to distribute the blocks. Claudette is doing an amazing job with this project.
Mary and Liz continue with the art work and many of the ladies brought in their “Boro” items for show and tell. You can see those lovely works on the Workshop page.
Next week we are creating fabric postcards with Elizabeth(me) for a bit of light hearted sewing fun.
We set up our blog to share with friends and family and many grandchildren get a kick out of seeing granny with her quilts. Lately we have have lovely comments from far and wide and we love to share our wonderful craft with other quilters around the world. So thank you for your comments and interest in our patchwork group.
