Tuesday 29th March

Today we had our March General Meeting and made a lot of decisions regarding this year’s projects. Most pleasing was the agreement to commemorate our late member Betty Harris with a yearly award to be given at Christmas to a member who has displayed traits of caring and sharing. This year also our Christmas Challenge will include the block called “Betty’s Delight”.

There will be quilts made for Zone Day, Daffodil Day and for an Indigenous Sports team to raffle. So busy times ahead.

We are also restarting our Friendship Quilt program and Wilga had her beautiful quilt to show us from a few years ago. We embroidered crinoline ladies on her blocks and it now looks almost done. The banner on our blog was also a friendship quilt for Colleen.

Best wishes to our member Helen McNamara who often features in our posts. Helen has had a slight stroke but is back in her sewing room so that is a great sign.

Today was also our UFO day and many interesting projects were dragged from our cupboards. Photos to follow. Also see Maxine’s Boro pieces on the workshop page.
