Today we held our Bi-Monthly Meeting and a lot of business was discussed. A washup of the quilt show with everyone agreeing it was a great exhibition of quilts with very favourable comments from the judges.
We also talked about plans for our Daffodil Day to be held next month with lots of ideas floated and it should be a successful fund raiser. Also motioned was a Wilga Bolton award for a quilt that keeps the traditions alive. A small group will be developing this idea for next year’s festival. We also agreed to bring in our Zone Day “Mug Bags” for a show and tell the week prior.
Six ladies were celebrating birthdays and two cakes were cut to mark their special month.
Not too much on show with most ladies working on projects in progress. Don’t forget to add a couple of ‘Heart’ blocks to the folder.
Next week our mini workshop will be led by Wilga showing us how to make a star border.
