Tuesday 8th November

Hi! Everyone I’m back from the Queensland Outback and I even found some quilts out there. I will put the pics up on the Travelling Members page soon.

We had a busy day with quite hot weather. Maybe a sizzling summer awaits us!

Helen Granleese took us through her method of quilt- as -you- go to help us start puting our Row By Row quilts together. We also got Row 10 which has pentagon flowers so there is plenty to get on with. We are hoping to have some quilts finished by 2017 exhibition.

Marcia Hunter had two cute kiddy quilts to show both with flannel backs which will be cosy.

Helen Mac. is making a great patchwotk runner with a circle of patches. This looks to be a complicated pattern so well done Helen.

Lots of Christmas stars still being paper pieced. Fay has another done in tartan which is very Maclean and our funny Sheryl is still making hers as you will see.

There will be a General meeting on the 22nd of November and a Trading Table that day too.

Remember to bring a 1/2 metre of fabric for the Christmas Party. Your challenge item needs to come in a paper bag.

Next week is the last Art Quilt showing for 2016 so we are hoping for a few additional pieces!! Ideas for a display and for next year will be appreciated.
