Today we held our Annual General Meeting. There was a fair turnout of members and we got unerway at 9:30am sharp.
Our outgoing president, Claudette Hough presented a comprehensive report of our accomplishments over the past year. We all thank Claudette for her two years of service to our club. Linda Hollis our treasurer gave a very concise report of our financial affairs and we thank her for the job well done. Robyne Plater our outgoing secretary has also done a terrific job.
The new committee was duly elected with Linda Hollis taking on the presidency, Bev Livingstone becoming the treasurer and the secretary position remaining unfilled at this time. There is certainly a positive vibe in the air and we look forward to an exciting year of patchwork and quilting. A delicious morning tea was then consumed!!!
The raffle quilt top is almost done and another week should see it to completion. Tickets are available at Ferry Park Gallery in Maclean.
We welcomed back Glad Henery who was a member many years ago. We hope she enjoys some old and new friendships with us.
Show and Tell: Linda had a very bright and cheerful chicken table runner made for a friend. Marcia had three table runners in a great leafy applique pattern. These are to be sold at Ferry Park Gallery.
Next week will be a General Meeting with lots to discuss I’m sure.
