Tuesday 13th June

Well it’s pouring with rain this morning and as a result we had a small turnout to patchwork. The day did improve so we are hoping for a dryer week for our workshop with Deborah Louie.

We did have some discussions re the quilt show that were very productive. It looks like being a big event this year. One new event will be the awarding of the inaurgural Wilga Bolton Award for keeping quilting traditions alive. Wilga is the founder and tutor of our group and she has long kept quilting traditions alive with us and now we honour her with an award in her name.

We also enjoyed, even with small numbers, the second reveal of our art quilts. See the four great art quilts on that page.

Everything is ready for two days of applique with Deb. We will have pictures next week.

Keep creating Elizabeth

Wilga with her family heritage triptych.
