Tuesday 1st August

What a lovely day. Helen Granleese took a class in Broderie Perse out on the verandah in the sunshine. This was the needle turn method and rather tricky to master. The participants were very quiet as they concentrated on the tiny stitches required.

Elsewhere we sat back and chatted about this and that. We were also collecting some extra art quilts for our exhibition. Everyone was most generous in lending their special pieces for the display.

Sonia, Colleen and Elizabeth (me) ventured down to Ferry Park Gallery to set up the show. Well if it wasn’t for Sonia I’m sure Colleen and I would still be there. Sonia is a whizz and soon had things going up and she also has a good eye for what goes together. We didn’t finish until 5pm.

I hope everyone goes toFerry Park for a look as there is some amazing work on display.

Only two weeks to Daff Day. Don’t forget we need things for the bric-A-brac table and for the Tombola. Plants, magazines, and items for the craft table as well.
