Tuesday 22nd August

We had a lovely day today – just stitching and chatting and enjoying morning tea of course. Our President, Linda, will be away for a few months in Tasmania. We will miss her gentle guidance.

Show and Tell:

Gail had her “Deborah Louie” cushion finished and it looks amazing. Well done Gail.

As I strolled around the group I spotted some great embroidery being done by Beth. It is a vase of flowers and is very 3D.

Dianne showed us her ‘Fairyland’ quilt which she had at our exhibition. This very pretty quilt is for her neice Charlotte. What a lucky girl!! Dianne was just adding a label which we should all remember to do.

Some of Nancy’s closest friends took her to lunch at ‘Botero’ for her birthday. Nancy will be 84 on Saturday and is still stitching every day and making amazing things. She particularly enjoys English Paper Piecing.

Next week is a 5th Tuesday so bring along your UFO’s and maybe we can finish a few.

Happy sewing Eizabeth.
