Tuesday 26th June

What a lovely day we had today with a big roll up of members – must be the lure of the birthday cake!!!! We did start disappearing around twelve when the weather turned colder.

Lots of chat about the Art and Craft Festival which is only two weeks away. Members have generously put their names on the volunteer roster to help out and we are hoping for some lovely entries.

Speaking of ‘lovely’, Lorraine brought in her finished large quilt made with many family pieces. The blue and white colour scheme was fresh and the whole quilt when unveiled received a round of applause.

Other interesting projects included Ursula doing European Knitting which she has demonstrated for us and Gail making strip pieced blocks with selvedges.

The birthday girls present to cut the cake were Alison, Marcia, Sharon and Robyne.

We are still hoping some members can find the time to complete their challenge.

Happy stitching until next week Elizabeth and Colleen
