October 15, 2019

Today was a lovely relaxing day of stiching and chatting, with lots of different projects on the go.

Each month of this year, one of our members has led an in-house workshop which will culminate in a “Block of the Month” quilt.

August was Celtic month with Marcia Rutledge instructing us on this really interesting  and fun technique.

September was a busy month with no workshop being held so we will have two this month to catch up.

Today Elizabeth Buzzell demonstrated Bachelor’s Puzzle block which entails a bit of tricky cutting and execution of a Y seam.

Thank you to Marcia and Elizabeth, these were both really interesting worshops given by very talented and concise instructors.

Lorraine had a beautiful quilt to show which was a joint  effort between Lorraine and her grand daughter.002

Robyne, Sharon and Marie worked on a joint project, which we hope will be a lovely surprise for someone, more about this later006

Next week we have the very talented Wendy Williams, visiting to conduct a workshop for 15 of our members, those of us who are lucky enough to be participating are very excited.

Before we get to that though, I’m off to the Brisbane Quilt Show. Hopefully, I’ll have some news from there for you next week.

Happy stitching,

Linda
