12th December 2023

Christmas Party Day, how exciting. A chance to relax and enjoy our end of the year get together. But of course there is a couple of things we need to do first before we get into all the lovely foods supplied by our members. We had ‘Show and Tell’ and the Christmas Challenge, The awarding of the ‘Betty Harris Award’, the fat quarter swap, and some games.

SHOW AND TELL.

Judy

Judy took her crazy patchwork and embellishment workshop block and turned it into a bag.

Great idea Judy. Well done.

Gail.

Gail handed some of the Betty Harris fabric to Dianne and received back these to gorgeous children’s bags.

Well done Dianne.

Dianne also completed her block for Gail’s Friendship quilt.

Terrific job Dianne. Gail’s favourite colours and Elvis to boot. Gail is in heaven.

Helen.

Helen has been working on this medallion quilt for a couple of years. Well worth the effort Helen. Just lovely.

So much to look at. Just stunning.

The close up.

Margaret.

Margaret never lets us down and always has something for us to admire and be inspired.

This is Margaret as she always is. Smiling.

This week it is three books for a grandchild. Just lovely and sooooo cute.

Thank you Margaret you are an inspiration to us all.

Neil

Neil has bought in a project he completed for a challenge from Bernina.

Quite stunning.

Great work Neil as usual. Very unique.

THE CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE

Our Christmas Challenge was set by the winner of last years Challenge. Which was to make something that started with the first initial of your first name. The items were judged by the members in a secret ballot. The winner was Elizabeth with her Eggs. Very unique Elizabeth. Congratulations.

The items made for the Challenge will be donated to the Sales Table for the Easter ‘Airing of the Quilts’.

2nd Place went to Debra with her lovely bag.

Great job Debra.

Congratulations to everyone who entered. The variety was wonderful and made it hard to choose the winner.
