Our last few days of spring and also the calm before the chaos of the Christmas period. Only three more weeks until we take a break over Christmas before our 2024 start on 16th January. Summer is only days away, our Christmas party is only two weeks away and then our last day for 2023, December 19th. I think my life is flashing before my eyes, far too quickly. We all have many projects in the works for our Airing of the Quilts at Easter 2024, then the Quilt Exhibition in July 2024. Lots to prepare. Lets not forget to have fun on the way.
It was General Meeting day today as well as Birthday celebrations for those members whose Birthday is in November and those for December as well as we won’t be able to celebrate in the last week of December. Cakes a plenty.
Christina was our only Birthday girl available. Many Happy Returns Christina.

This is the start of a project for Neil. His question was the introduced pale pink enhancing the project or not.
This looks wonderful so far. Trust your judgement Neil. You are an artist.
GAIL
Gail gave me a small piece of scrap fabric from Betty Harris’ collection. I made a tissue cover and a small bag and pouch.
This is the last of the blueberries. The small pouch has the very last piece in it. We hope these items will sell at the airing of the quilts.
Not a big week. But let me assure you everyone is working feverishly on their Christmas challenge.

December 2023 – Christmas Party at the Church Hall. 12th December 2023. Bring along a fat quarter wrapped, for the Christmas gift swap. The help out lists are circulating don’t forget to be part of the team.
Final meeting for 2023 will be 19th December 2023.
Christmas Challenge for 2023. Can you please place in a paper bag on the Challenge table at the Christmas Party.
Gail has been chosen for the next Friendship quilt. She has given you free reign to choose any colours or theme you want as long as it reflects ‘ÝOU’. 10-1/2″ square block
Group start date for 2024 – After the Christmas break we will return on 16th January 2024.
