About Us

Maclean Patchwork and Quilters is a not for profit group of crafters that is affiliated with the Lower Clarence Arts and Crafts Association Inc. The group was formed in 1989. We meet every Tuesday in Maclean to stitch and enjoy friendship. We raise money for charitable organisations throughout the year and make quilts to donate to worthwhile causes. Each year we make a special quilt to raffle as a fundraiser for our Quilt Exhibition. The Quilt Show this year will be held on 8th – 10th July 2022 and is a judged show with very generous prizes. See Exhibition page for details and entry forms.

The new committee for 2021-2022 is Claudette Hough President, Sharon Davis Treasurer and

Robyne Plater Secretary. You can contact Robyne  on  0418799967.

Hello, Kerrie Huxham here from Days for Girls Iluka/ Yamba. We continye to sew the washable, reysable menstrual kits for Australia & overseas. They last a girl at least 3 years. We are running low on fabric and wondered if the quilter’s group might be able to help out as Quilter’s cotton is the best to use for body contact components. For the drawstring bags , polycotton is acceptable. The smallest usable piece us 15cm x 15cm. I can collect locally or could come to yr Tuesday sewing day, or drop off can be 3 Blue Water Court Yamba. My mobile is 0429647200.. We are also low on overlocker thresd. Any colour. Hoping yr group csn assist. We are currently sewing for Burindi in Africa and Sri Lankan girls. This year we distributed in Timir Leste PNG and Ethiopia. Regsrds Kerrie

A very interesting Blog. Would it be possible for whoever is responsible for the installation and maintenance of your BLOG to contact me by telephone? My number is 66848151.
I am a member of the Bangalow Quilters and we are keen to have a Blog of our own but have little idea of how to go about it.
We know how to set one up, its more knowing the pitfalls and how to keep it interesting.
    Thank you
    Kind regards
    Elizabeth Casimir
