7th November 2023

A new month and closer to the end of 2023. Time is flying by and our members are busy with workshops and projects that need to be finished before years end. We have finally had enough rain to water our gardens and resurrect our plants and trees. So being idle is not something our members engage in, Show and Tell is light on this week but I am sure the next month will be an explosion of projects.

WORKSHOP – NOVEMBER 2023.

This week was our monthly workshop. ‘Shaggy Reverse Applique’ with Elizabeth B.

This was something new and exciting to try, so everyone’s attention was on Elizabeth, who gave a very informative and inspirational workshop for our last one for 2023.

Elizabeth was showing the stages of a shaggy reverse applique using blocks she had prepared earlier.

Everybody was keen to have a go at Shaggy reverse applique’ and were very attentive to Elizabeth.

Thanks Elizabeth, you always come up with interesting and inspiring workshops.

SHOW AND TELL

Janet/Sue

Janet was the inspiration for this peg bag with a difference. Janet mentioned how one of my peg bags could be modified to be a safe bag that could be hung in your clothes robes to store valuable items.

This was the result.

A zippered bag.

Thanks for the inspiration Janet. Hope you like it.

Margaret

It wouldn’t be the same without Margaret showing her latest item.

An embroidery panel on a tote bag. Margaret keeps busy all the time.

Thanks again Margaret you are an inspiration.

Lorraine

Lorraine has made a lovely book pillow for her Granddaughter to match the quilt she made previously.

Thanks Lorraine we are sure your Granddaughter will love it.

Liz

Liz has not quite finished her quilt but we couldn’t resist showing you.

Fabric with cat footprints. How cute. (do you think Liz is a Cat lover?)

The close up. Just the binding to go.

Thanks Liz.

Alison

Alison has a small Horn Table with a lift and Wheels on one end she wishes to sell, as well as a small quilting frame for sale.

Anyone interested can contact us and we will direct any enquiries to Alison. Don’t forget an email address or phone number for Alison to reply.
